B3 Johnson, One of the Best Jazz Organist in Hong Kong
Johnson Ho, aka B3 Johnson, mentored by TONY MONACO(one of the best Jazz Organist in the world) is now one of the best Jazz Organist in Hong Kong.
Johnson works as a professional musician since 2009, he performs in different commercial events (included world-known brands like Coca-Cola, Canon, Bloomberg).
As a Jazz musician, Johnson performs in many Local Jazz Clubs and sometimes even big stadiums (eg. Queen Elizabeth Stadium). Since 2008 Johnson also tour in Japan(Jazz Clubs and Jazz Organ Festival) for few times.
MEAING OF "B3"
"B3" come from the legendary vintage organ HAMMOND B3. Johnson never owned any vintage Hammond B3, but he owned a HAMMOND B3 MK2(a digital reissue version) and a vintage Hammond A100(same tonewheel as B3 but different cabinet).
HAMMOND B3 not only the industy standard of the "Jazz Organ" but also a spirit! As the only professional musicians who really focus on Jazz Organ in Hong Kong(but there are other pianist who play Jazz Organ very good...), Johnson decided to use the name "B3 Johnson", hope to make Hammond B3 reborn in Hong Kong one day.
TELL STORY WITH MUSIC
Johnson love to make music emotional, dramatic but not perfect. He believe there are no perfect in the world.
He always try to tell story with his improvation and aim to give some message to the audience.
Johnson may not be one of the musicians who got the best technique, but his music can make people laugh, make people dance and sometimes make people cry.
